Sargam Koushal was born on Monday, 17 September 1990 (age 32 years; as of 2022) in Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. She did her schooling at Presentation Convent Sr. Secondary School. She pursued a postgraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Jammu.
Her father’s name is GS Kaushal, and her mother’s name is Reema Khajuria. She has a younger brother named Manthan Kaushal. Sargam Koushal entered into a relationship with Adi Koushal in 2015. The couple dated till 2017, before getting married in 2018. Adi is an Indian Navy Officer.
She started her career as a teacher at KC International School and it was only after marriage that Koushal discovered modelling.
Mrs India World
In 2022, Sargam Koushal participated in the Mrs India World 2022 beauty pageant. After qualifying in the competion, she went through various personality enhancing sessions with famous specialistst from the industry including, Kavita Kharayat for the Ramp walk, fitness expert Jinni Shaikh, Cherag Bambboat as hair and make-up expert, and diet expert Dr Varun Katyal. A total of 51 contestants from all across the country qualified for the pageant. The grand finale of the Mrs India World 2022 was held NESCO Center, Goregaon, Mumbai on 15 June 2022. The Mrs India Grand Finale event was hosted by actor Sachin Kumbhar and the jury panel consisted of actors Soha Ali Khan, Mohammad Azharuddin, Vivek Oberoi, former Mrs World Dr. Aditi Govitrikar, and couture designer Masumi Mewawalla. She graced the event wearing a heavily embellished evening gown designed by Pink Peacock Couture. After undergoing multiple rounds, Sargam Koushal was announced as the Mrs India World 2022. Navdeep Kaur, Mrs India World 2021 crowned Sargam Koushal as the Mrs India World 2022. Sargam, in her winning speech said,
Hi everyone, I am Sargam Koushal, Mrs Indian World 2022. I am elated to be here. I cannot express my feelings in words. I have this crown which I wanted for many many years and I will see you at Mrs World 2023.”
Mrs India’s official Instagram handle shared the crowning moment of Mrs India World 2022. The caption of the video read, Just a girl changing the world one rhinestone at a time. Sargam’s next objective after being crowned Mrs India World 2022 was to be crowned Mrs World 2023. India has only won this championship once. In 2001, Dr. Aditi Govitrikar won the title and returned the crown to India. She previously held the title of Gladrags Mrs India 2001. Dr. Govitrikar, along with Soha Ali Khan and Mohammad Azharuddin, sat as a judge for Mrs India Inc 2022-23.
Mrs World 2022
On 18 December 2022, she defeated contestants from 63 countries to become the winner of Mrs India World at a gala event in Las Vegas. After winning the pageant, Sargam Koushal said,The long wait is over, it’s after 21 years we have the CROWN back!”
